The World Health Organisation has published a technical brief about epilepsy with key information and recommendations for decision-makers to strengthen the services for people with epilepsy. They aim to raise the profile of epilepsy prevention, treatment and care.
Epilepsy can be a big burden for some individuals with DRPLA, thus we will keep an eye out for these recommendations and action plans.
“Given epilepsy has significant personal, health, economic and social inclusion consequences for people living with the disorder and for their families and communities, the response should not be anything less than integrated, comprehensive and engaging all of society”
said Dévora Kestel, WHO Director for Mental Health and Substance Use.
